Saving Water at School 11th May 10
Early in 2009 Holroyd High School installed the Watersave Smart Meter which enables online real-time identification of any excess water usage. As soon as the meter was installed the school detected an enourmous water leak that started at four litres and grew to a gushing 43 litres per minute.

A new research study has revealed there are significant savings in carbon emissions through the installation of waterless urinals. This is the first time a study has focussed specifically on the carbon savings that are created through a reduction in water usage. Managing Director of Watersave Australia said "Building designers and infrastructure managers need to consider all aspects of sustainable practices as they endeavour to decrease the carbon footprint of buildings. Clearly, waterless urinals are an important component within that carbon reduction strategy."
