Watersave Australia's DrainFresh wins 2009 GreenPlumbers Innovative Product of the Year
Watersave Australia’s Managing Director Paul Marsh was delighted to step on the stage to receive the 2009 Green Plumbers Innovative Product of the Year Award in Melbourne on 13 October for Watersave Australia’s new product DrainFresh™.
Now in its eighth year, the GreenPlumbers® Awards recognise Australian businesses that are making outstanding achievements in creating environmental benefits via plumbing installations or new product development
Scientifically proven DrainFresh™ is the next generation in chemical free odour and hygiene protection for floor wastes, took out the 2009 Green Plumbers Innovative Product Award in Melbourne on 13 October.
DrainFresh™ is a simple, affordable plumbing innovation that offers security and protection against drain odours and harmful bacteria. It’s unique odour and bacteria barrier eradicates the need to pour environmentally damaging chemicals into floor wastes.
The easily installed system provides hygiene and odour protection in bathrooms and food preparation areas in hospitals, hotels, commercial kitchens and schools – in fact any area with floor drains or a shower waste. The product can be easily retrofitted inside the existing floor waste or specified within new design work.
DrainFresh™ is especially valuable in areas where hygiene and anti-bacterial risk management is an issue, such as hospitals or schools. The Australian designed and manufactured product also protects against pests such as cockroaches which may enter through drains.
Paul Marsh said, “We are proud to be honoured with this award from such as prestigious industry body as Green Plumbers. DrainFresh™ is manufactured from leading edge antimicrobial silver based polymer technology and kills microbes on contact.
“At a time of increasing health risks from diseases such as SARS and Swine Flu, we believe DrainFresh™ offers a simple, affordable solution to hygiene and odour risk management,” he said.
