Watersave launches DrainFresh for hygienic odourless drains21st Apr 10
"There is increasing concern in the consumer market about health, hygiene and the spread of illness through bacteria," says Paul Marsh , Managing Director of Watersave Australia.
"Many floor wastes smell due to bacteria in the sewer system and dry floor gullies can result in sewer odours passing directly into the room above. DrainFresh addresses these concerns with a patented new design that seals the floor waste from emitting odours and by killing bacteria on contact."
The DrainFresh body is infused with Ultra-Fresh antimicrobial protection, harnessing the natural anitmicrobial power of silver to provide a lasting hygienic effect and provide effective control over a vast range of bacteria including E coli, Salmonella, MRSA, Pseudomonas, V.R.E. and Golden Staph.

Incorporating a cleverly designed trap, that creates a natural water seal, drain odours and pests are prevented from entering the room above. A unique air admittance valve (AAV) ensures that the water seal cannot be sucked away by changes in air pressure within the drain system below.
DrainFresh was awarded the 2009 Innovative Product of the Year by Green Plumbers (MPMSAA). The product has Watermark certification and is designed and manufactured in Australia.
