Uridan waterless urinals have been specifically engineered to function without water. The design of the urinal is very simple and efficient.   Unlike other urinals the Uridan urinal does not require expensive and proprietary cartridges, bladders, inserts, siphons, mechanical parts, microbial blocks or deodorizing tablets.

How Does a Uridan Urinal Work?

Uridan waterless urinals are very simple and efficient. The urinal is designed with an inbuilt water trap which is connected directly to the sewer system. A biodegradable odour blocking fluid (Urilock) is poured into the water trap and floats on the surface of the urine to create a perfect seal, blocking any urine odours. When the urinal is used the urine drains through the Urilock and out of the sewer system.
Unlike other waterless urinals the Uridan urinal does not require propreitary cartridges, bladders or mechanical seals. The simplicity of the Uridan design ensures that the customer's long term cost of ownership is kept to a minimum. 
 

Daily Cleaning Instructions

Like any other type of urinal, the Uridan waterless urinal should be cleaned daily. Cleaning a Uridan waterless urinal is quick and easy because the unique design means there are no inner edges where urine can collect. The use of detergents is not necessary, simply spray Uriclean onto the urinal and wipe clean with a disposable cloth. A complete set of cleaning instructions is provided with every urinal.

Servicing Instructions

Periodically the urinal will require servicing; the frequency of this exercise depends upon usage. For example a Uridan urinal installed in a male toilet in a typical commercial office will require servicing between 4 and 6 times per year.

A service becomes necessary when the Urilock fluid appears in the bowl of the urinal. The appearance of the Urilock signifies that the water trap below the drain cover should be drained and flushed out with a bowl of water. After servicing the water trap, a 300ML bottle of Urilock odour blocking fluid is used to seal the trap. The servicing process is simple and quick. Please refer to service guides below.
