Uridan waterless urinal in domestic bathroom
Thanks to the Watersave Smart Metering Solution, our school is now saving at least 2280 litres of water each day and thousands of dollars each year. We had a significant leak that had previously been undetected, quietly leaking away water and money until the Watersave Smart Metering Solution was installed and detected the abnormal water usage.
Using their highly sensitive leak detection equipment, Watersave Australia then located the leak and we had it fixed immediately, savings thousands of dollars each year for our school in excess water charges. Thanks Watersave!

Watersave Australia’s ingenious water saving package is currently creating significant savings in water and energy use for North Sydney Demonstration School. In the twelve months since the school installed three of their award winning Watersave Smart Meters, in addition to the Watersave Australia Uridan trough urinals and twenty five dual flush toilets, we have reduced our water bill by a significant $10,000! This is a 68% saving in water or a total of 3.1 million litres.
Apart from the wonderful cost saving, these significant savings in water mean a reduced carbon footprint – a double bonus for our school and something our children can be proud of!

Holroyd High School is forty years old this year and the buildings have the usual plumbing ‘issues’ you would expect in a school of this age. If it were not for Watersave Australia’s web based Smart Metering Solution, we would never have detected - and found! - the leak that started at the beginning of February. Leaking at 4 litres per minute at first, it was quietly growing in volume, out of sight under the girls amenities block to a gushing 43 litres per minute by the end of the month. Had it gone on undetected, it would have been close to 2 million litres lost for the month!
Using their specialised leak detection instrument, Watersave accurately located it 1.2 metres underneath the building, so the plumber was able to return and rectify the problem. Quite apart from the possible structural damage to the building if left unchecked, the cost of this leak to the school is approx. $6000 per month in excess water. If it had continued undetected, our water bill would have been $72,000 for the year!
